What do new parents want most for their new baby?
Nearly all parents will respond that they want a happy, healthy baby.
David Lester and I identified five essential things you can do to help your baby be happy and healthy.
What's funny is that most parents already know these things, but they start to doubt themselves when their baby doesn't respond in the same ways they read or hear about from books or the internet.
While every workshop will have a different flavor, here are the five things we cover:
- The three ways to get breastfeeding off to a good start
- The safest baby carriers- demo and try-ons
- Baby's nervous system, and why what you don't know will drive you crazy
- Vaccines and your baby's immune system
- Safe pain relief for pregnancy and childbirth
The workshop is followed by a question and answer period. Moms and Dads are encouraged to come during pregnancy. Babies and children are always welcome.
David Lester, Chiropractor
"It’s great to be a chiropractor. I’ve been doing it for 22 years and I’ve enjoyed most every second of it. I’ve never stopped training and learning, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop. I feel blessed to be in a profession that is so gratifying. It is amazing to work with people each and everyday and watch them as they become healthier and happier.
"Over the years I’ve seen so many wonderful things happen to my patients. I work with people of all ages, from newborns to seniors. My gentle technique works well for just about everybody. I’ve served people with all levels of problems – everything from simple backaches to chronic, debilitating diseases. I treat generations of families who come to me because they know that my chiropractic care helps them become and stay healthy. Athletes who want to improve their focus, coordination, flexibility, and energy also come to me for care."
Donna Bruschi, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
"I've been helping mothers and babies get breastfeeding right for them for nearly 20 years and I still learn something new every day. I’m never too busy to encourage a new mom or give help when a family needs it. I am blessed to do work I love!
Over the years I’ve seen so many of my clients meet and exceed their breastfeeding goals. I am so proud of their accomplishments. It is amazing to witness a new mother, full of doubts, develop skill, confidence and intimate knowledge of her baby through breastfeeding."
