The HygieniKit valves are Ameda breast pump parts designed to preserve pump suction while allowing milk to flow into a milk storage bag, bottle, or other collection containers. To ensure the best performance of your breast pump, we recommend replacing valves every 8-12 weeks, depending on cleaning and use. Duck bill valves should be replaced if torn, stretched or a decrease of suction is sensed. For most women working 40 hours per week, plan on changing them every month. You may need to change them more or less frequently.
