Breastfeeding Cafe- Breastfeeding Support Group
$30.00
Unit price / perThe Breastfeeding Café Support Group, hosted by Donna Bruschi, IBCLC, aims to provide clinical breastfeeding support, education, and an opportunity to make friends.
"Breastfeeding should feel as normal as sipping a coffee in your favorite café."
This group is for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers looking to make new friends, and deepen their breastfeeding knowledge in a caring and supportive breastfeeding group. Meetings are moderated by Donna Bruschi, IBCLC.
- Mother-to-mother support is an important factor in how comfortable mothers feel when they breastfeed.
- Skilled support from a board certified lactation consultant helps mothers continue breastfeeding with listening to their challenges, guidance for their ongoing concerns, and education for navigating their baby's next leap.
- Mothers feel more normal when they hear about other mother's lives and challenges.
- Mothers feel more normal when their friends have similar interests to theirs.
Donna Bruschi provides a safe environment where it's OK to make mistakes and ask "dumb questions." She provides guidance and reassurance so you feel confident in continuing breastfeeding your baby. She provides another set of eyes, and referrals to professionals, when you have a feeling something isn't right.
Join like-minded mothers to talk about babies, breastfeeding, feeding and mothering. A meeting generally goes like this:
- Welcome with coffee, tea, fruit, and other snacks
- Introductions
- Discussion topic
- Sharing time for questions, challenges, and celebrations
- Closing
- Free time for conversations
